Colour Me Kubrick
Director: Brian Cook
Colour Me Kubrick is the debut feature of director Brian Cook, in which veteran actor John Malkovich plays a con man named Alan Conway, who in the mid-90’s successfully conned people into believing his was the famed director Stanley Kubrick.
Colour Me Kubrick doesn’t really go any where as a film. It offers hardly any insight into the life or work of Stanley Kubrick, and really is just a series of mildly amusing events in which Conway either convinces people he’s Kubrick or makes a fool out of himself. It’s essentially a film that people will find somewhat entertaining as it’s running, and then will completely forget about when it’s over.
